The physical copy of the Kala Kalebara Chautisa is rare. It is usually printed as a small pamphlet by the Puri Gajapati Maharaja or local mathas (monasteries) only in the year leading up to a Nabakalebara festival. The last major Nabakalebara occurred in , and before that in 1996 .
