At its core, Un Ratoncito Duro de Roer (original English title: MouseHunt ) is a brilliantly simple comedy of errors. The story follows two polar-opposite brothers, the refined and cynical Ernie Smuntz (Nathan Lane) and the clumsy yet idealistic Lars Smuntz (Lee Evans). After the death of their eccentric father, they inherit two things: a failing string factory and a dilapidated, ancient mansion. Initially seeing the house as a worthless ruin, their fortune seems to change when they discover it is an architectural masterpiece designed by a renowned, long-lost architect.
