Dini (played by Revalina S. Temat) is a devout Muslim woman from a traditional Javanese family. Alex (Rio Dewanto) is a charismatic Christian man from Ambon, an area scarred by sectarian conflict. They meet in Jakarta, a cosmopolitan yet conservative metropolis. Despite initial opposition from Dini’s father (a strict Muslim patriarch) and Alex’s mother (who fears her son will convert), the couple pursues a relationship. A third figure, Rangga (Fedri Nuril), a more suitable Muslim suitor, complicates the love triangle.
