Director Robert Schwentke ( RED , The Divergent Series ) brought in cinematographer Bojan Bazelli ( A Cure for Wellness , The Ring ) to give the film a gritty yet colorful look. They used Arri Alexa cameras and anamorphic lenses. The fight scenes were choreographed by Kenji Tanigaki (known for Rurouni Kenshin and Twilight Samurai ).
