In 1991, two major Robin Hood films hit theaters: the gritty, blockbuster Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner, and the more obscure Robin Hood with Patrick Bergin. Kevin Costner's version was a massive hit, but it was also a perfect target for parody.
