The story follows Shinnosuke Tomari, a former elite police officer who lost his fighting spirit after a traumatic event called the "Global Freeze". Alongside the sentient belt, "Mr. Belt" (Krim Steinbelt), and his partner Kiriko Shijima, he transforms into Kamen Rider Drive to battle the Roidmudes, rogue AIs who can stop time.
