The story follows college archaeology student Dai Sawamura. After deciphering ancient figures on Peru's Nazca Plain, he is recruited by the Galactic Union Police and given the code name "Shaider," in honor of an ancient warrior who defeated the evil Fuuma Empire 12,000 years ago. Now equipped with his iconic blue and silver armor, Shaider must defend Earth from the returning magical empire.
