Aveva E3d 3.1 [2021] Direct

Version 3.1 includes dedicated traction and routing logic for non-circular geometry. Cable tray splitters and risers are now generated automatically based on fill ratios, a feature that was exclusively manual in previous versions.

Ultimately, AVEVA E3D 3.1 is not just an upgrade—it's the foundation for next-generation engineering design, enabling teams to work smarter, faster, and with greater confidence across process plant, marine, and power industries worldwide. aveva e3d 3.1

AVEVA E3D 3.1 is more than a 3D modeling tool; it is a holistic engineering ecosystem designed to de-risk complex projects. By merging automated drafting, real-time collaboration, and immersive laser scan data, it empowers EPCs and owner-operators to deliver assets faster, safer, and well within budget. Version 3

What’s notably improved

Traditional modeling uses Brep (Boundary Representation), which is heavy. E3D 3.1 uses a hybrid kernel that supports both precise Brep for machined parts and lightweight graphical representation for bulk items. This allows a complete refinery model to load in seconds, not minutes. AVEVA E3D 3

The extraction of piping isometrics has been rewritten. The new engine automatically spaces text, rotates dimensions for readability, and eliminates the need for manual clean-up in AutoCAD. It supports "Bill of Materials" (BOM) splits per spool, vital for fabrication.

The Rule Manager received substantial upgrades in version 3.1.4.0. This feature allows administrators to configure logical rules for a project that execute automatically as design elements are created. These rules can automatically set attributes and properties, accelerating the design process, reducing human error, and ensuring that all created elements comply with relevant standards and design intent. In this release, the Rule Manager can now create rules for design properties of structural joints, fittings, and design templates.
