In the early days of the "Internet of Things," the prevailing assumption was that if you had the IP address, you were supposed to be there. Manufacturers built web interfaces into cameras so owners could view them remotely. They often failed to build robust authentication walls around those interfaces. The "Hotel Verified" search worked because the devices were naive; they didn't know the difference between a hotel manager in the back office and a teenager in a basement on the other side of the world.

If you need to secure a specific network environment, please let me know: What of IP cameras your network uses

A fundamental rule of enterprise security is network segmentation. Security cameras should reside on a dedicated, isolated Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) that cannot be accessed directly from the public internet without a Virtual Private Network (VPN). When cameras share a standard internet-facing network, they become indexable by search engines. Implications and Risks

: Filters results for devices that have "hotel" in their metadata, title, or network name.

Just because a page is indexed by Google does not make it "verified" or legal to access. This is akin to finding a house with an unlocked door. Entering is still trespassing.
