Samajavaragamana Violin Notes -
The film song's name, "Samajavaragamana," is a direct homage to a famous 19th-century Carnatic (a musical composition) by the saint-composer, Thyagaraja. Thyagaraja's composition follows the raga Hindolam and is a meditative devotional piece on Lord Krishna, describing him as the one with the majestic gait of a large elephant ("samaja-vara-gamana"). The film's lyricist, Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, masterfully used Thyagaraja's title as the launchpad for his own imaginative and youthful lyrics, creating a rhythmic and respectful dialogue between two eras.
